The Oyster Tavern Spa Limited is a well known bar and seafood restaurant throughout Kerry since the late 1970's. It has become synonymous for excellent quality food and a very extensive wine menu. There is a full bar on the premises serving pints of Guinness and lagers that are well thought of amongst its customers. It is a family run business whereby the business has a well known work ethic of making everyone that enters feel very welcome with a good team of hard working and motivated staff.

 

 

Jim and Margot McGrath are the proprietors who are also renowned for their great personalities and humour. The Oyster Tavern has remained a very popular restaurant with tourists and locals especially golfers during the tourist season as it is approximately four miles from Tralee Golf Club. This is an award winning golf club attracting people from all over Ireland but also tourists from overseas. 

 

The business has a function room known as 'The Barn' available for birthday parties and any other occasions. It supplies finger food for any occasion and whenever there’s a big game on in the bar for its customers. The Oyster Tavern offers a full a la carte menu as well as a bar menu to suit all tastes and budgets. It is also located on the scenic driving route from Tralee to Fenit which is also on the Wild Atlantic Way driving route.

 

The Wild Atlantic Wayis a driving route of 2500 kilometres running the length of the West coast of Ireland bringing about more footfall and tourists to the Oyster Taverns location in the Spa, Fenit area. It has attracted many Irish and international visitors to the area and the County of Kerry. The County Kerry stage of the Wild Atlantic Way is 440kilometres long and this section has the most beautiful views to offer and things to see and do.
